About Us

Sugar Hollow Crossing is a historic Missouri winery and gathering place in the process of being brought back to life.

Tucked into the hills of Sugar Creek, the property has long been a place where people came together—for work, for celebration, and for a good glass of wine.

Today, we’re restoring that spirit with intention. The grounds are being thoughtfully revived as a setting for weddings, small events, stays, and everyday moments worth slowing down for.

We care about history, craftsmanship, and creating a space that feels warm, unforced, and real.

Sugar Hollow isn’t about spectacle. It’s about place—where you are, who you’re with, and taking the time to enjoy it.

The History of
River Blvd

How it all started

Set along historic River Boulevard, Sugar Hollow stands where river landings once connected travelers to Independence and the great westward trails. In the mid-1800s, the settlement of Gilpin Town grew as a hopeful gateway for merchants, wagon trains, and settlers heading toward the Santa Fe and Oregon routes. Though the town itself faded, the road endured, carrying the same spirit of gathering, trade, and community that continues here today.
